I'm kicking off today with Amarillo Little Theater and a special announcement for our readers and viewers.īeginning this month, Panhandle PBS is going deep inside Amarillo's vibrant art groups, both performing and visual, to tell the full story of one season develops.

Roxann is also one of the members of the Circle of Excellence Professional Company. As the Administrative Manager for Lone Star Ballet, her face is one of the ones behind the desk upon entering the ballet offices. Roxann is in her fifth year as studio director of the Lone Star Dance Academy in Borger. Those productions included "Will Rogers Follies", "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", "Hello Dolly", and several Academy productions. Another passion was performing at Amarillo Little Theatre. Along with almost twenty years of Nutcracker, her performances include "Lucy" in Dracula, "Molly Goodnight" in Lone Star Trilogy, "Firebird" in Firebird, and "Step Mother" in Cinderella. In 2003, she also attended a New York City Rockette Intensive, the summer of 2005 took her to a Summer Dance Lab at Whitman College. During the summers of 2001-2004 her dance training continued at the Jillana School Summer Dance Intensive. In 2004, she came to the Lone Star Dance Academy. Her dance training began in 1993 with Neil Hess. The Academy Staff welcomes you to visit your local academy and register today! Lone Star Dance Academy offers a variety of wonderful summer programs in all our academy locations. Unleashed performance is considered part of the Season of Dance line up of shows. This production, called Academy Unleashed, is a high quality professionally produced performance. The end-of-the-year production for all Academy students is in May. Students need to register by the end of December as that is when we are focused on the spring Academy Unleashed productions (recital) for Academy students.Īll dancers are welcomed to audition for The Nutcracker and other Lone Star Ballet productions when applicable.
